La Roque d’Anthéron is known abroad through its town twinnings , festivals or sports clubs. It has a reputation beyond the borders of its area.

Several twinnings or partnerships were set up with foreign cities, like Natchitoches in Louisiana, Torre Pellice in Italy or Catalonia. Some gave or will give place to school voyages, sporting confrontations, and others to artistic discoveries or cultural collaborations.
The city of Torre Pellice in Piedmont is the cradle of the Valdesian Community; therefore it shares an historical past with our village. The collection of molas (read more) - illustrating the beauty and the perfection of an art born with the meeting between the Valdesian people and the Cunà Indians in 15th century – which has been exhibited in La Roque for several years, was exposed in the old museum of Torre Pellice from August to November 2006. Last summer our village also accommodated a group of young people coming from this partner city, and La Roque inhabitants will leave in their turn the next year to discover the richness of this very dynamic Italian village.

The International Festival of Piano accommodates tens of thousands of music lovers each summer coming from all of France and from abroad since 25 years, continually adding to the notority of La Roque dAnthéron. Today, our village is a mandatory passage for the virtuosos of piano.

Les Archers de l'Alycastre de La Roque d'Anthéronis a Club of archery performing each year everywhere in France but also in Spain or Italy, at the time of international competitions, with great success. Many champions are formed there permanently. The club organizes each year international contests, on the splendid archery course of the Hameau de la Baume.
